Brentwood yard sales this weekend 9/25

Brentwood tn real estateYou cannot imagine what you can get at Brentwood, TN yard sales, especially  when several neighborhoods decide to have them on the same weekend. Shadow Creek, Courtside at Southern Woods and Fountainbrooke have historically held them on the same day. This weekend, Saturday September 26, 2009 there will be bargains, treasures and clothes on sale in East Brentwood. These neighborhoods are just off of Concord road, 3 miles from I-65.

If you are looking for outdoor furniture, cds, TVs, handbags, old jewelry or just regular yard sale fare, you cannot miss sales in Brentwood, TN. I have been surprised at the number of antiques and collectable’s that are offered at rock bottom prices. The sale starts at 8 am, but come early for previewing. The good stuff goes fast and it is well-worth getting up a little early. Bring bags and cash and come with a smile; you won’t be disappointed.

Green Hills Real Estate Report for August

Green Hills real estate sales are still lagging behind sales in Brentwood and Franklin. According to the trends that we have been seeing in the Nashville marketplace, lower priced homes are starting to move, and the move up homes are still not being purchased. But knowing all of this leads us to believe that the people who are selling their starter homes to first time home buyers will now be in a position to move closer to Nashville. What did I just say?  Green Hills real estate should start to improve quickly, and the next 12 months should be a lot better than the last 12 months.

Nashville Foreclosure Properties

staunton mill Nashville foreclosure properties- I had a call Sunday from a lady who wanted to see foreclosure real estate in Spring Hill TN. She was visiting her parents in Spring Hill form Ohio, and she had decided that she wanted to move to Spring Hill.  She had been doing some investigation, and had realized that the job market was much better in middle Tennessee than it was in Ohio, and based on the political climate, who probably stay that way.

Her desire was to buy a home in Nashville that had equity built in, since she had lost most of her home equity in Ohio. Foreclosed homes are sometimes a great deal, but you have to know what you are buying, and what the fair market price should be. That’s where a knowledgeable buyers agent comes in to play. The Foreclosure Real Estate market in Nashville changes quickly.

A good buyers agent will be able to us criteria that meet the buyers needs, and then find the best available foreclosure homes in the area they want to live. It sounds easy, but because the foreclosure market does move fast, especially the better homes, you really have to monitor the market on a daily basis.

I have an automated search that notifies my clients of every new foreclosure home the day it comes on the market. That takes care of part of the process. We then view the homes that look promising, evaluate the value of the home, and make a strong bid on the property if we think it’s the right choice.

I work with clients who are serious about building home equity fast. If that sounds good to you, let me know.

Real Estate Wisdom

alan jacksons lake This has all been said many times over, that over the years, more people have become wealthy, and retained their wealth through real estate, than all other means combined.

“I am the basis of all wealth, the heritage of the wise, the thrifty and prudent. I am the poor man’s joy and comfort, the rich man’s prize, the right hand of capital, the successful partner of many thousands of successful men.  I am the solace of the widow, the comfort of old age, the cornerstone of security against misfortune and want.  I am handed down to children, through generations, as a thing of greatest worth.  I am the choicest fruit of toil.  Credit respects me, yet I am humble.  I stand before every man bidding him to know me for what I am, and to possess me.  I grow and increase in value through countless days.  Though I seem dormant, my worth increases, never failing, never ceasing; time is my aid and population heaps up my gain.  Fire and elements I defy, for they cannot destroy me.  My possessors learn to believe in me; invariable they become envied.  While all things wither and decay, I survive.  The centuries find me younger, increasing in strength.  The thriftless speak ill of me.  The charlatans of finance attack me.  I am trustworthy.  I am sound.  Unfailing I triumph and detractors are disproved.  Minerals and oils come from me.  I am sound.  I am producer of food, the basis for ships and factories and the foundation of banks.  Yet I am so common that thousands unthinking and unknowingly pass me by.
