Showing Brentwood Real Estate On A Rainy Day
Brentwood Tn Real Estate – I love showing homes on rainy days. Yes, I will admit that
it has been REALLY rainy lately in Brentwood, TN. But, my friends,
there is a silver lining. Really? Really!
A common (valid) concern among buyers is,” How will this home
handle a large amount of rain?”
Well, no time like the present to see of those yards are mushy or those ceilings are still leaking. Check those crawlspaces and see if those French drains are working. Go see that home by the river to see what a hundred year flood plain looks like. Days like today are the very best for the most discerning buyers, just bring some black bags and line the carpets in your car.
And there is your sliver lining for this rainy Saturday…now go sell something!

Brentwood yard sales this weekend 9/25
You cannot imagine what you can get at Brentwood, TN yard sales, especially when several neighborhoods decide to have them on the same weekend. Shadow Creek, Courtside at Southern Woods and Fountainbrooke have historically held them on the same day. This weekend, Saturday September 26, 2009 there will be bargains, treasures and clothes on sale in East Brentwood. These neighborhoods are just off of Concord road, 3 miles from I-65.
If you are looking for outdoor furniture, cds, TVs, handbags, old jewelry or just regular yard sale fare, you cannot miss sales in Brentwood, TN. I have been surprised at the number of antiques and collectable’s that are offered at rock bottom prices. The sale starts at 8 am, but come early for previewing. The good stuff goes fast and it is well-worth getting up a little early. Bring bags and cash and come with a smile; you won’t be disappointed.

Brentwood TN Schools
Brentwood TN Real Estate – One of Elizabeth’s friends had a call today from her adult son about schools, and thought it was interesting enough that I would share it. Several years ago he bought a house in a new development in south Nashville (Davidson County)The neighborhood seems fine, and the commute to his job in downtown Nashville was reasonably short, so all was good. Next year his oldest child starts his first year of school, so the parents decided to visit the school that their neighborhood was zoned to attend.
Here is the conversation after the visit. “Mom – I need some help, I can’t send my child to that school”. Mom “Why Not”. Son – “Most of the parents looked like gang members” Mom – “Those parents are your neighbors, If you can live a half mile away from them, then your children will attend the same schools, go to the same sporting events, and hang out with them after school.” Son “Will you pay for my child to go to private school?” Mom – “NO”
What are his options?
1. Let his child attend the school, and hope for the best
2. Sell his home at a loss, and move to a better school district
3. Pay for his child to attend private school – good ones are around $10,000 or more per year
If option 2 is your choice, then you need to pay close attention to the following chart. Schools in Williamson county are always at the top of the charts for Tennessee, but some are better than others. If you are going to move for education purposes, then get the best school you can afford.
Brentwood schools are traditionally at the top of list, but Franklin has several top schools also, and Franklin also has the lowest rated school on this Chart. Be careful, or just call me. I’ll make sure that you achieve your goals.
For many years, parent have moved to Brentwood and Franklin Tennessee to allow their children to have the best education they can get in Public schools. I think it’s a trend that will continue.

Brentwood tn Real Estate market report for march 2009
Brentwood tn real estate – March of 2009 has been a really challenging month for Brentwood real estate. With the economy being slow, and the cold, rain, and snowy weather that we had in March it’s hard to believe that buyers would venture out to look for a home. Even with all of that, houses were still selling, and at a much better rate and price than anyone would expect, if you watch the news.
List price to sales ratio of Brentwood real estate was 95 percent, Hopefully this will tell buyers what to expect, and realize that most homes are priced correctly, and the savings are already priced into the home. Well priced homes in good condition will sell quickly, especially with the inventory of inexpensive Brentwood Real Estate at an extremely low number.

Forrest Hills Rapist caught
For 14 years, the residents in Forrest hills and surrounding Brentwood
communities have lived in fear. One of the safest communities in Tennessee has been the target of a serial rapist. 13 know attacks have happened by a masked man who like to use the cover of woods to escape, and guns and knives to subdue his victims. 4 of the attacks were on otter creek road, close to radnor lake park. On Monday morning, a Michigan couple visiting their children in Brentwood were awakened in their travel trailer by their dog. When they looked outside, they saw a man standing nearby. When they saw the mask, they called 911. The police responded within 5 minutes, but a search of the area didn’t turn up anything. About a an hour later, a Brentwood policeman noticed a man walking in the neighborhood. When questioned, the man said he had been at a party. The police let him go, but put a 24 hour surveillance detail on him, eventually getting a DNA sample that matched sample from previous crime scenes was enough to arrest him on Thursday. The mans name is Jason Burdick he is 38 years old, and he works for a company that specialized in burglar alarm technology.
I know a lot of women will feel much safer knowing that this guy is behind bars.
