Nashville Home Buyers are Missing a Great Opportunity

Real Estate in this country has been in the news daily for a year now, and all of it in a negative way. Let’s face it, the news only reports bad things, good news is no news. Is that why the new media spins the Nashville real estate news in a negative way? What do you hear? Sales down 28 percent, inventory levels at it’s highest point ever. Why don’t you hear the news that prices have steadily gone up? Would that be considered good news? Better not report that, people might get the idea that the economy in Nashville is better than the rest of the country.

Well the fact is that the job market in middle Tennessee is still growing, jobs are still coming into the area, and Tennessee is consistantly ranked toward to top of every list when corporate relocation is discussed. The fact is that Nashville real estate prices are still going up, and interest rates are now starting to go up also.

National reporters are telling buyers to wait for lower prices, but in Middle Tennessee, that only costing you more money. A very savvy client of mine once made an interesting statement. If you don’t like the price now, just wait, it will cost you more next year.
